Best Way To Hide Under-eye Circles
Under-eye circles can make you look old and tired even when you are not. Things like allergies, a sleepless night, or heredity can cause dark circles. Most woman make the mistake of trying to cover them up with a lighter shade of concealer and too much of it. This results in the opposite of the raccoon eye syndrome which is also not a good look, especially if you have a few lines around your eyes and the concealer settles into them.
The best way to cover them up is to use a pink concealer which brings light to the eyes and hides the circles. Use your ring finger to apply and just tap, tap, tap until it disappears. I repeat, tap do not rub. It will blend in seamlessly and you will need less. The key is to use a little and tap and your eyes will look brighter and you will instantly look more rested!
The best one I have found is from the make-up artist Carmindy who is on the hit TV show “What Not To Wear” You can find her line at the local drug store. It is by Sally Hansen and it is called “All over face brightener”
Perfumes and Cologne Not so Sweet Smelling
95% of chemicals used in fragrances are synthetic compounds derived from petroleum (like the same chemicals in gasoline). They include benzene derivatives (benzene is a known to cause cancer), aldehydes (like formaldehyde which is highly toxic) and many other known toxins capable of causing cancer, birth defects, central nervous system disorders and allergic reactions. Asthma and other respiratory ailments are increasing at high rates. When you wear perfumes you are not the only one that is breathing in all these toxins but those around are also exposed.
The manufacture of perfumes also creates tons of chemicals that are dumped into the environment that we all get exposed to including children whose immune systems are more fragile. The alternative is to get some 100% essential oil such as Jasmine or lavender. There seems to be some scientific evidence that these 2 essential oils can help to promote feelings of calmness and relaxation.
According to a study at Virginia Tech, spraying hydrogen peroxide and vinegar right after one another is just as effective at killing germs as lung-irritating, stream-polluting chlorine bleach. Plus you are not exposing yourself and your family to bleach which is highly toxic and irritating. Studies have shown that the air quality indoors is poorer than outside. Toxic cleaning products like bleach contribute to this.
Plagued with headaches? The alignment of your teeth could be to blame. Most doctors don’t think about the teeth as part of a comprehensive workup when trying to find the cause of frequent headaches. If you are bothered by frequent headaches be sure to get a thorough dental checkup along with your doctors, a nightguard or correcting the alignment of your teeth could help.
