The safe, aesthetic alternative to metal fillings

In the past, cavities in teeth were filled with a mixture of different metals. However, more natural-looking and metal-free fillings are becoming the preferred approach of dentists like Dr. Edward Camacho. The tooth-colored materials that Dr. Camacho uses are safe and durable and blend in with your natural teeth. No one can tell you ever had a cavity.

Composite fillings

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Dr. Camacho can make your cavities disappear by using a modern tooth-colored filling composite that’s custom-made to match the shade of your natural teeth. Composites allow Dr. Camacho to remove just the decayed area of the tooth.

Unlike silver fillings, metal-free composites expand like your teeth and are much less likely to cause cracks. The composite filling is virtually undetectable once set and, unlike silver fillings, is 100% mercury free.

Precision-fit onlays and inlays

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Onlays and inlays are dental restorations used to replace large fillings or to repair a damaged tooth. Inlays are designed for tooth damage affecting the indented portion of the top of your tooth. Onlays are for damage that is more extensive. Onlays and inlays are used when the damage is not quite severe enough to require a crown.

Dr. Camacho uses his CEREC® System, a cutting-edge scanning system that makes digital impressions, to construct inlays and onlays. By making a 3-D digital image of your tooth’s surface he can design your restoration for a very precise fit.

Then Dr. Camacho enters this data into CEREC’s software where he can make necessary adjustments on the proposed design of your inlay or onlay. Once in place, you will have a durable, natural looking restoration that is made to last. Your teeth will look like a cavity never even existed.
