ClearCorrect And Traditional Braces
Are you interested in straightening your teeth or improving their alignment? At Cosmetic Dentistry of San Antonio, we are proud to offer comprehensive orthodontic work, providing a full range of effective, aesthetically pleasing options for improving your smile.
What Is ClearCorrect?
ClearCorrect is a system that uses clear braces to apply pressure on your teeth gradually. Over a period of several months, the clear aligners will move your teeth and can correct an imperfect bite. You’ll also be able to remove the aligners, which means you can take them out to eat your favorite foods and to brush and floss.
How It Works
We’ll give you your entire series of aligners at the very beginning of treatment. Then, every one or two weeks you’ll change your current set of aligners for a new one. And, we’ll schedule regular appointments so that we can check on your progress. Most patients will complete the ClearCorrect treatment within 18 to 24 months.
Benefits Of ClearCorrect
There are a number of benefits that come with choosing ClearCorrect, including:
- You can eat whatever you want to eat. ClearCorrect trays are easily removable, which allows you to eat hard, crunchy, or sticky foods as usual. With traditional braces, people find that there are a number of foods they simply have to avoid.
- Easy brushing and flossing. Unlike with traditional braces, brushing and flossing can continue as usual without you having to make any adjustments You simply remove the aligners and brush and floss your teeth.
- ClearCorrect is virtually invisible. Your close friends and family may know that you have orthodontia, but most people will not notice a thing.
Traditional Braces
Some patients opt for traditional braces. Traditional braces (using brackets and wires) are still a great choice because they are economical and they allow us the greatest control in improving your bite. These braces can correct many issues with your teeth, including teeth that are crowded, have gaps, or are crooked.
